Nashville, TN (Future150) -- Marvin Bagley III, a young star out of Phoenix, Arizona, has proved early on that he is the best young prospect in the country in the 2018 class.
The 6'7" lefty is a forward who reminds many of Phoenix Suns forward Michael Beasley, a former prep and college star with a versatile skill set and smoothness on the floor. He can hurt you in a variety of ways, and has dominated players his age for several years now.
Next in line at #2 in the rankings is Ladarius Marshall, hailing from the hoops hotbed of Jackson, Mississippi. The 6'4" shooting guard possesses breathtaking athleticism for a prospect so young, and he has all the tools to be a special prospect.
Florida prospect E.J. Montgomery slides in at #3 in the rankings, and rightfully so. The 6'7" lefty is a talented swingman who can do a little bit of everything on the floor. His calling card is his versatility.
#4 in the updated rankings is Gavin Schoenwald, hailing from suburban Nashville, Tennessee. The 6'4" forward is a crafty scorer and plays stingy on-ball defense. A very scrappy player who rebounds well also.
Rounding out the top 5 is D'Marco Baucum, a powerful post player out of Washington D.C. The 6'5" bruiser is a face-up power forward who is also capable of putting the ball on the floor.
There were several prospects who rose in the latest rankings, including St. Louis product Courtney Ramey (#15), Ethan Henderson (#18), Diante Wood (#41), and D.J. Sims (#47).
