Conroe, TX (Future150) -- During Future150's camp season, we love to see prospects come in as virtual unknown's and make a name for themselves and then build off of it. This is what 2020 G Antonio Evans of Conroe (TX) has certainly done since attending Future150's Southwest Regional Camp this past summer.
The 6-foot guard had attended a previous camp in 2016, but his performance at camp this year is what really grabbed our attention.
"He's wired to get baskets, especially when getting to the rim and working in transition," Future150 GM Eric Hampford said about him after Southwest Camp. "He's relentless on both ends of the floor and shows good leadership abilitiy as well."
A knack for scoring and great leadership tactics is something college coaches love to see out of versatile guards. It seems that Evans has great confidence in what his team should be able to accomplish this season.
"We're just trying to keep building off of previous seasons," Evans said. "Our main goal is to win the district and from there go as far as possible in the state playoffs."
As he continues to build a name for himself out in the great state of Texas, keep a close watch on Evans and this Conroe squad as they could certainly make some noise down the stretch of the season. It's always a huge help for high school coaches when they've got players like Evans on the floor at all times.
