Hampton, VA (Future150) -- With an extensive list that at one time or another included the likes of Kentucky, North Carolina, and Connecticut, Hampton High School star Anthony Barber is now down to three schools.
Alabama, Kansas, and Louisville are the finalists for the 6'2" speedster who is perhaps the fastest point guard in America.
The Crimson Tide have a realistic shot to land him because of his reported close relationship with 'Bama coach Anthony Grant.
Bill Self has proved his amazing coaching abilities by leading the Jayhawks to the national championship game this season, as well as his development of point guard and 2012 NBA Draft pick Tyshawn Taylor, which has to help KU's chances.
Incoming 2013 recruit Brannen Greene is also doing his best to recruit the Virginia guard to the midwest.
Rick Pitino's Louisville Cardinals are also in the running, and can appeal to Barber in a variety of ways. They will enter the 2012 college season absolutely loaded, starting in the preseason top 3.
They also boast one of the country's best point guards in Peyton Siva.
It will be interesting to see which school "Cat" Barber ultimately winds up at.
