Orlando, FL (Future150) -- Spring and summer AAU ball is now in full swing, but things are just getting heated up for 2014 guard Adonys Henriquez.
Henriquez, who runs with the Florida Rams, already holds several offers from mid-majors, including South Florida, Central Florida, Murray State, Florida international, Georgia Southern, and High Point; however, high-major programs are starting to pay him respect.
“I just got offered by Florida,” Henriquez said last week.
While Florida is an impressive program, the 6-foot-6 guard has his eye on another Florida school.
“Florida State is sticking out right now,” the sophomore explained. “They have offered me too, and I have a good relationship with the coaching staff. I am talking to coach [Stan] Jones.”
The Orlando native is also hearing from UConn, Syracuse, and Kansas, among other high majors.
What has been the reason for his spike of interest over the past few months?
Like Future150 is determined to do, Henriquez has received more and more exposure.
“Playing with the Rams and going all over the country to these showcases have been big for me. There are so many great players, so I get the chance to compete and learn from them.”
Henriquez is not sure on the dates, but he plans to visit Murray State and UConn very soon.
