Birmingham, AL (Future150) -- After a weekend official visit to Georgia Tech, 2014 Central Park Christian (Ala.) power forward Abdoulaye Gueye saw all he needed to see. The senior signed with the Yellow Jackets on Thursday.
“I like the ACC,” he told Future150.com in regards to his commitment.
Gueye will have the opportunity to thrive at Georgia Tech. His unique skill-set combined with his high upside is very appealing at the college level.
“Coaches tell me I am best at being a face-up 4 and blocking shots. I can take my man outside on defense and go past him. I’m really good at blocking shots. That’s my game,” he explained.
The 6-foot-9 shot-blocker also considered Texas Tech, UAB, Mississippi State, Minnesota, and Old Dominion.
He is a three-star according to Future150.com.
