Nashville, TN (Future150) -- As usual, the state of Georgia will be loaded with some of the best young talent in the country as we head into AAU season.

A good chunk of that talent will be suiting up for the Georgia Kings Elite.

Coach Gerald Ogletree has no shortage of talent at his disposal, and his accumulation of hard working kids has been a long time coming.

“With this particular program, I’ve been helping for 10 years, molding this program into what it is today. We’ve switched names a few times now, and it’s been a process to get to where we are at today. It’s a good spot that we are in. We are able to field a lot of teams, with over 378 kids in the program, keeping them off the streets,” he told Future150.

Many of his talented kids will be attending the Future150 Birmingham Main Event tournament, with his 17U(2),16U,15U,14U, and 13U teams making the trip from the Peach State. In particular, look for his 17U teams to make a statement at the event.

“Our eleventh grade group is a hard working group who are very focused and determined. They are all about the team concept,” he noted.

With the program being in existence for a long period of time, some very promising players have suited up for the Kings.

"Chris Denson is a standout player at Auburn right now, averaging over 11 points per game. Christian Kennedy is a 6'10" power forward who is a senior signed with Chattanooga for next season, and Deionte Corprew is a senior and division one point guard prospect who is a great kid and an absolute joy to coach."

After they attend Future150's event, they have a jam packed spring and summer. They will be playing at the Pittsburgh Jam Fest, Bob Gibbons, Are You From Here? Classic, Under Armour Summer Jam, and several other big name events.

Coach Ogletree had a plethora of good things to say about his program, which is refreshing to hear.

“They are hard workers who are dedicated to team ball. That is what we love best about them. We preach “team first” basketball. We really strive to have a family atmosphere, and the kids have really bought into it. We have a great girls program as well behind Tim Marshall and Jermaine Billingsley. They are the Georgia Exposure, a very talented group of kids,” he said.

It's been a long road for the Georgia Kings, one that has been successful because of the programs mission statement.

“We are about spirit, mind, and body. We work on character development with our young guys, getting them ready for college life, and especially the real world.”

A great vision for a great program. Look out for the Georgia Kings this spring and summer.
