Bradenton, FL (Future150) -- One of the best performers in the 2018 class over the course of this past AAU season was Florida Vipers 6'7" forward Darius Days. Today, on his 18th birthday, he celebrated by choosing the LSU Tigers over the North Carolina Tar Heels as his destination for where he'll play his college ball.
The 4-star prospect has always been a high-motor forward with excellent rebounding and finishing skills, but this spring and summer he showed a much improved perimeter game, giving him added versatility on both ends of the floor.
Playing at IMG Academy (FL) this season, expect him to close out his high school career on a high note, while giving Tigers fans even more reason for optimism over the next several years for his college career. It's especially exciting when you consider the other 2018 recruits he'll be joining in Baton Rouge.
LSU brings in massive 6'10" forward Naz Reid, one of the most gifted prospects in the country, regardless of class. While his production and intensity have always been in question, if Will Wade and staff can bring out the best in him, he should be a monster in the SEC.
They'll also be bringing in another potential McDonald's All-American in hometown guard Javonte Smart, a Future150 alumnus and punishing 6'4" combo who will be an instant impact performer at the next level.
With the addition of Darius Days to the Tigers class, they now hold a top five class nationally.
