West Deptford, NJ (Future150) -- Annunally, the Pangos Camp circuit brings in some of the best talent in the country for their stops in Los Angeles, Dallas & Chicago before hitting their last stop in suburban Philadelphia. This year was no different, as Dinos Trigonis brought in premier talent from Washington D.C. to Boston. Which prospects stood out to Future150 staff?
Washington D.C. 2021 G Marcus Dockery Explodes
It was a huge weekend for Roosevelt (D.C.) 6'0" point guard, who torched defenses with his perimeter shooting, especially on Saturday. The shifty lefty couldn't be stopped, mixing in some impressive drives to the rim while racking up his point total on the weekend, and was named Pangos All-East Camp Co-MVP on Sunday afternoon after scoring 17 points in the Top 30 All-Star Game. Originally a 2020 prospect, he continues to improve and as of right now, he's safely inside our soon-to-be-released top 100 list for the national class of 2021.
Neumann-Goretti F Ta'Quan Woodley Emerges At Camp
It was our first time seeing the Neumann-Goretti (PA) 6'6" forward, who was an under-the-radar prospect at the middle school level. We came away very impressed. While we don't know his exact wingspan, he's extremely long, which helps him to block a ton of shots, rebound at a high rate, and also helps his athleticism, as he had explosive moments above the rim. Will he continue to grow and develop into a rim-running post at the 6'8" or so level, or does he stay in the 6'6-6'7" range as a unique hybrid prospect who can knock down shots when necessary? Either way, he's someone we'll be monitoring in the PCL this season and beyond.
Darius Miles Primed To Become A National Level Recruit
While Marcus Dockery may have stole the headlines from campers at Pangos All-East, it may be his high school teammate at Roosevelt High in Washington D.C. who sees his stock explode the most over the next six months or so. A smooth & natural scorer at 6'5"+, the lefty isn't a national level recruit just yet, but he recently took a trip to Villanova Midnight Madness and Michigan visited him a few weeks back. Our hunch is that this coming AAU season, the DC Premier wing is set to blow up.
Max Amadasun The Newest Irish Import Set To Make Waves
Last year, it was Aidan Igiehon who showed out at Pangos All-East. This year? It was fellow Irish import Max Amadasun who came out of nowhere to really put his name on the map. A strong and bouncy 6'9" post, he's a relentless rebounder and shot-blocker who finished around the rim all weekend long. His motor ran hot for the duration of the camp, and it comes as no surprise now that Penn State offered him a scholarship within the past week. Expect more high-major offers to come his way very soon.
4 More Standouts From Pangos All-East Camp:
Posh Alexander, 2020 PG, Our Saviour Lutheran (NY): Get ready to start hearing a lot more about the explosive 6-footer, who is easily one of the most athletic prospects nationally in his class. Throw in his NYC style of game, and the door is open for him to become the Big Apple's next star. He's a highlight waiting to happen, and backs down from no one.
Dyondre Dominguez, 2020 SF, New Hampton Prep (NH): A 6'7"+ natural wing with some serious athleticism, he routinely finished plays above the rim throughout the weekend. And while it's nice to see his size and slashing ability, his ability to knock down shots from three really impressed us. If that's a consistent theme going forward, he will start picking up high-major offers at a rapid rate.
Enai White, 2022 SG, St. Thomas Aquinas School (PA): Before the camp started, I quietly wondered if any local 8th graders would be at camp, and if so, were there any in the area that could hold their own. My answer was the 6'3" shooting guard, who I watched toy with and torch his fellow classmates in July. Well, he showed up at camp and ended up making the Top 30 Game, thanks to his physical style of play and natural athleticism. After the dust settled, he reinforced my thinking that he's the best 2022 prospect in the Philadelphia metro area.
Alexis Reyes, 2021 SG, The Rectory School (CT): One of the most naturally gifted campers in attendance was the 6'5" wing, who when he's fully engaged, is a ton of fun to watch. He's a three-level scorer who has some very impressive passing skills for a player his age and size. The next step for him will be to improve his three-point stroke, but he has all the tools to develop into a star.
