North Augusta, SC (Future150) -- As June 15th hit, college coaches were able to finally make direct contact with the class of 2018 for the first time. As usual, a number of offers were issued to players all across the country.

Alex Lomax received calls, but didn't walk away that day with his first offer. The Memphis point guard didn't let that discourage him though, and came into July looking to prove something.

"I'm not really too concerned about offers or anything like that, I just want to go out there and help my team win games," Lomax said after helping Team Penny win their quarter-final matchup.

What happened next was nothing short of impressive. Lomax turned in a fantastic performance against PSA Cardinals, stripping their guards on multiple occasions and knocking down three pointers.

While Penny would ultimately fall short in that game, Lomax had done more than enough to get college coaches on board. Seton Hall, UT-Martin, Memphis, Temple, Ole Miss, LSU, UMass and Florida all offered him shortly afterwards.

The Future150 Alum has proven himself to be one of the better point guard prospects in the class of 2018, and any school looking for a team leader and elite defender would be wise to track the 5-foot-11 floor general.
