Memphis, TN (Future150) -- The name Ryan Boyce may not be a name in recruiting circles just yet, but that should change soon. The Memphis native was a combo forward at around the same time last year, and has greatly improved his perimeter arsenal.
Boyce was one of the standout players at this year's Birmingham Main Event, as the wing scored in double digits in every game as he helped lead Team Penny to the Final Four. While he was a terror in transition, he also acknowledged that there is still work to be done.
"I want to keep improving my ball handling and my shot" Boyce said.
The soon-to-be-junior currently holds offers from Ole Miss and Memphis, with other high-major programs circling. Western Kentucky and Georgia Tech are among the other programs who have reached out to the wing as well.
The Summer live periods will provide yet another opportunity for schools to see Boyce, and note his improvement. In the mean time, it will be interesting to see what programs contact him directly for the first time on June 15th. Ole Miss has been a fixture thus far and has pulled talented players out of Memphis in the past. It seems as though they have found yet another one to make a priority in the class of 2018 in Boyce.
