Orlando, FL (Future150) -- Recently, I had a chance to catch up with one of Florida's most talented young prospects, junior shooting guard Matt Milon.
The Oviedo (FL) star is coming off a successful AAU season with the Q6 All-Stars, where he had a chance to showcase his skills in front of college coaches all over the country. A lot of those coaches are keeping extremely close tabs on the 6-foot-4 wing.
When I talked to Matt, his current offer list was very impressive.
"Wichita State, Virginia Tech, Central Florida, Davidson, Rhode Island, George Mason, Georgia Southern, Oregon State, and Purdue have all offered," he told Future150.
That list doesn't include other schools who are showing serious interest in the lights-out shooter. Harvard, Stanford, Creighton, Butler, Miami (FL), Florida State, South Florida and Clemson are looking to see more of Matt this season, and especially on the AAU circuit.
The Chris Mullen clone knows what sets him apart from other highly ranked prospects, but also knows there is work to be done.
"I think my IQ and my jump shot separate me right now. I'm working on getting my athleticism on par with some of the higher ranked kids, but right now my IQ and jumper are my best weapons," he said.
Currently, he is averaging 16 points, five rebounds and four assists per game for Oviedo. Stay tuned to Future150 on continued updates on his progress and recruitment.
