Rice Lake, WI (Future150) -- It's not often that you see many kids who are just freshmen in high school hold scholarship offers. But for Wisconsin native Henry Ellenson, that is exact sitituation he is in. Marquette, Minnesota, Georgetown, and Iowa State have offered the talented big. He also has interest from Big Ten programs such as Wisconsin, Purdue, and Nebraska.
While it is still very early on in Ellenson's recruitment, it is obvious how talented he is. He has a very high ceiling and shows great big man skills already. Perhaps that is why Georgetown has shown such interest early, as they have a reputation for getting and developing talented big men. It seems that both Marquette and Iowa State are hoping the early offer combined with their proximity to Ellenson's home will give them an edge. Minnesota could also have an edge as 2012 SG Wally Ellenson is set to join the Golden Gophers next year, giving Henry the opportunity to team up with his older brother.
Because it is so early on in the recruitment process, more programs will surely throw their hats into the ring for Ellenson's services. He is no doubt one of the best big men in his class and should be one to watch going forward.
