Hagerstown, MD (Future150) -- Every year players step their games up and improve, meaning new faces become big targets for college coaches. One player who has really begun to see his stock rise is 2015 St. James (MD) point guard Justin Robinson.
Once thought of as a mid-major recruit, Robinson has used this fall and high school season to prove that he can play at the high-major level. Robinson will suit up with Boo Williams on the AAU circuit this year and be able to showcase his skills in the EYBL. At 6-foot-1, he has a good frame and is solidly built. He has a good handle and can get to the rim. Robinson also has uncanny vision and has improved as a shooter over the past few months as well.
He has drawn plenty of attention from colleges already, most recently picking up an offer from Providence this weekend. Radford, St. Peter’s, and Old Dominion had already offered him previously. There are plenty of high majors that have begun to track him during his junior year campaign and will continue to do so this spring and summer as well.
With a dearth of point guards in the class of 2015, Robinson is looking to move up the ranks and prove he can play with the best. He had this to say about his game and where he feels he stacks up.
“My opinion is that I’m one of the best. If people think otherwise, that’s fine, I just want to improve and be known," he told Future150.
As he continues to rise, look for more and more schools to throw their hats into the ring for him, as his recruitment has just started to heat up and doesn’t figure to slow down any time soon.
Follow along with Future150 as we continue to track Robinson this AAU season.
