Fairfax, VA (Future150) -- Leading one of the most powerful high school basketball programs in the country this season is 2015 point guard Kevin Dorsey.
For an absolutely loaded Paul VI (VA) team featuring Georgetown commit Marcus Derrickson and a slew of other division one prospects, Dorsey has been the catalyst for the team.
That trend continued this past weekend at the 2014 Spalding Hoophall Classic, where he helped his team to a 62-56 win over national power St. Anthony (NJ).
Before fouling out in the fourth quarter, he scored 14 points in front of UMass head coach Derek Kellogg and his staff. He then made a trip to campus for an unoffical visit later that day. However, the Minutemen have very stiff competition for his services.
To date, he has fielded offers from Creighton, Old Dominion, Ole Miss, SMU, VCU & Virginia Tech.
In terms of schools showing interest right now, he and his coach rattled off Nebraska, West Virginia, St. Joe's & USC as schools who have recently been in contact.
One of the benefits of playing with such a talented team is the battles each and every player faces on the practice floor.
"We go to war every day. Practice is intense every single day. We really battle to make each other better," he told Future150.
Look for the Team Takevoer guard to continue to make a splash this spring with a strong AAU season.
