Class of 2015 PG Jonathan Jean verbally committed to Furman today. The Nike Team Florida floor leader ended his recruitment.

"After four years of high school I have officially committed to Furman University," tweeted Jean.

The senior from East Bay High school (Florida) took his visit to Furman on March 23rd and seemingly fell in love with the program from there.

"It was a nice campus," said Jean.  "Definitely felt welcome, which was nice."

Jean was impressed with the facilities, the coaches, and the campus.

"Definitely felt like this was going to be an opportunity to me," said Jean.  "My family and my coach liked it."

Furman will be getting a pretty solid player, as he won the Alston Mac Award.  It is annually given to the top senior player in Hillsborough County.

Gardner-Webb, New Orleans, and Fairleigh Dickinson were also recruiting Jean.  Furman was the lone official visit in his travels.

Jonathan Jean is Furman's fourth pledge to their 2015 class.
