Chicago, IL (Future150) -- The Kentucky Wildcats got off to a good start with their 2015 recruiting class on Wednesday morning when they picked up a commitment from St. Rita (IL) guard Charles Matthews.
Picking the Wildcats over Illinois, Kansas, Marquette & Michigan State, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard brings an explosive edge to the Kentucky backcourt. He knows how to get to the rim and is crafty when finishing against hulking post players.
Playing with 2014 Kentucky pledge Tyler Ulis on the AAU circuit with Meanstreets this past spring and summer gave an added benefit to committing to the SEC program, and the star guard looks forward to continuing their relationhip on the court at the next level.
Currently averaging 15 points and seven rebounds per game this season, Future150's #10 prospect nationally looks to finish the high school season strong and have a stress free final AAU season on the Nike EYBL circuit.
