Bolivar, TN (Future150) -- Demetrice Braddock (Class of 2015, Bolivar Central High School/Memphis Bulls) is a combo guard, who’s working hard daily to develop his skills.
“I play every day and I love the sport,” Braddock revealed.
Even though he is a relatively small guard at 5-foot-9, Braddock finds unique ways to make it to the rim and finish. He’s a nice floor general, plus he’s proved that his age and size is not a factor, when competing against more experienced players.
This young teen tries to do what is necessary to better his game; he definitely understands what his strengths and weaknesses are.
“I believe my strengths are shooting, ball-handling, and talking on the floor, but I know I need to improve on defense and enhance my rebounding abilities,” he alerted.
He doesn’t have a lot of colleges chasing after him right now, but he did say, “I would love to play for TCU, they are a great school."
Braddock attended the Future150 Nashville camp last year and told me it helped him understand more about the game.
“It really opened my eyes to the higher-level competition in my area and I now know what to expect,” Braddock informed.
The young athlete likes to compare himself to a specific NBA player, but the size of each player isn’t all that close.
He said, “I think my game is similar to Carmelo Anthony, well a shorter version of Anthony that is.”
Braddock will continue to play as much as possible and work to improve all facets of his game.
