Los Angeles, CA (Future150) -- Future150 takes a look as some of the top players in the country in the 2014 class. Future150's #12 player, Stanley Johnson is one of the more athletic players in the class, playing for national powerhouse Mater Dei (CA) Johnson has been exposed to the spotlight at an early age. The small forward has played a complimentary role to seniors Katin Reinhardt (UNLV) and Xavier Johnson (Colorado) and at times has even shown his star potential and played a leading role for his team. Still, with the amount that the other talented guards handle the ball on this team there is a theory that Johnson would put up even bigger numbers on a different squad.
Next year this could be Johnson’s team, but for now he is ok with playing the Robin to this year’s seniors. “I love playing with these guys, they are all so talented and it’s great because they draw so much attention to themselves so I get a lot of open looks off them playing,” he said at a recent event.
It is perhaps that kind of attitude that gives him a star quality. Arizona and San Diego State have both been on him since last summer, but it’s only a matter of time before more schools get involved and come after the swing man hard.
