Orlando, FL (Future150) -- 2012 has been a big year for Cuyler "Stuckey" Mosley. The 6'3", 175-pound shooting guard started his national ascent with a big summer on the AAU season with his Florida Showtime Ballers team.
He followed that by dominating the Future150 Atlanta Camp, where he showed off his incredible shooting range and impressive ball-handling skills.
He also played quarterback for his Timber Creek High School (FL) football team this fall, leading them to a 10-2 record while passing for 1,300 yards on the season.
Now, he is leading the Wolves on the hardwood as well. I recently had the chance to catch up with Stuckey to talk about his season so far.
"The season is going alright. We let a couple of winnable games slip away, but our record is still solid at 6-3. Individually, I am doing well. The first couple games I was still adjusting coming from football. Right now I am averaging 16 points per game but I expect that to rise a lot. The last three games I have had games of 23 points,19 points and 19 points. I am also averaging seven rebounds per game and two steals per game."
With his success over the past eight months, he has also seen an increase in attention from college coaches.
He currently has scholarship offers from Rider as well as Jacksonville University.
There are also several schools showing strong interest, including UAB, Drexel, Stetson, and La Salle, while also receiving minimal interest from Miami (FL) and South Alabama.
He's ready to continue to add more interest from coaches, which has really taken off since attending our Atlanta camp this fall.
"It was a good experience, it was a great opportunity for players like me to get their name out there. For kids who are not being heavily recruited but can really play the game. After the camp my recruitment picked up a lot, and I expect it to continue to grow."
