Indianapolis, IN (Future150) -- The Kentucky WIldcats have been a recruiting power under John Calipari, and they flexed their muscles yet again today, landing the #10 player in the class in Trey Lyles. The skilled power forward joins #7 Karl Towns, #18 Devin Booker, and #55 Tyler Ulis in the loaded group.
A power forward who can score the rock, Lyles can face up and attack as well as score with his back to the basket. While he isn't a freak athlete he makes up for it with his level of skill.
He will pair nicely with Karl Towns as either can score on the perimeter and interior and will be able to switch positions in the offense at times. Lyles is a great rebounder and an underrated passer, making him a good fit to play with players like Booker and Ulis who can shoot the ball.
Off the court, he also brings value. He is good friends with UK target Stanley Johnson and will do doubt try to convince him to join this stellar group in Lexington. Look for Lyles to have a major impact at Kentucky.
