Durham, NC (Future150) -- Kestrel Heights School (NC) junior small forward Asa Clark is doing his best to get noticed by college coaches early on in his junior season.
The 6'5", 180-pounder has always passed the eyeball test, and now his skills and productivity are taking off as well.
He is averaging 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks per game, while leading the Hawks to a 5-3 record so far this season.
While his squad has hit a few snags in the early going, Asa remains very optimistic about what he and his team can accomplish as the season goes on.
"So far our season is going pretty good. It's not going as well as recent years, but we should end up being in the state playoffs," he told Future150.
So far, he is receiving interest from division two schools Barton College and Mars Hill College. He is also being courted by division one North Carolina A&T.
While he hasn't received any scholarship offers yet, a solid AAU season with his Team360 squad should help his standing among college coaches.
Clark is a high-upside player who has the skills to possibly transition to the shooting guard slot at the next level.
"I try to model my game after Kyle Anderson, the 6'8" point guard who is very smooth with the ball and can really facilitate."
