Nashville, TN (Future150) -- In the coming years, the weekend of October 25th, 2013 might end up becoming the date worth remembering for the Duke Blue Devil program.
Starting today, Tyus Jones, Jahlil Okafor, and Justice Winslow will all be starting their official visit to Durham.
Ranked as the #1, #5 and #6 prospects in the 2014 class, respectively, there's extreme reason for optimism on campus. What's even more promising for Duke is that Durham is the last official visit for the purposed package deal of Jones and Okafor, who both visited Kansas last weekend.
Another promising sign for Duke is that Tyus Jones is rumored to be looking to commit sometime in the coming weeks, which gives Mike Krzyzewski a last word with the star prospect.
The 6-foot-1 lead guard is an immediate impact prospect who has the potential to lead a school to a Final Four as a freshman. He is that talented, poised, and skilled.
The 6-foot-10 Okafor is the most polished big man in the senior class, a true post prospect capable of dominating a game from start to finish.
It seems to be a two horse race between Duke and Kansas for the two, making this weekend visit extremely crucial for the Blue Devils.
As for Winslow, he is no slouch himself. He is a 6-foot-6 wing who is a lockdown defender. He impressed us greatly over the summer circuit, showing off an improved offensive game as well.
He is considering Arizona, Duke, Florida, and UCLA.
Duke is also still in the running for the services of another star prospect, Kevon Looney, a 6-foot-8 stretch forward who is currently ranked #3 in the country after a monstrous AAU season.
He will announce his intentions on October 31st between Duke, Florida, Michigan State, Tennessee, UCLA, and Wisconsin. The Blue Devils have been rumored to be the frontrunner for his services for a while now. It's worth noting that he officially visited Duke in September.
Another prospect the Blue Devils are in the running for is Tyus Jones' AAU teammate, power forward Reid Travis. The De La Salle (MN) star is down to Duke, Gonzaga, Minnesota, and Stanford. He also officially visited Duke in September.
Obviously, once one of these dominoes falls, there will be a lot of chaos and a flurry of commitments happening over the coming weeks potentially.
Keep in mind, they Blue Devils already have a commitment from Grayson Allen, the #38 prospect in the country.
The potential is here for Duke to land one of the best recruiting classes that we have seen in quite some time, and it all could begin taking shape this weekend.
