Firth, NE (Future150) -- As a kid, it's easy to take a lot of things in life for granted. From the clothes your parents put on your back, to the roof over your head, to the food you eat every single day, it's easy as a teenager to not think twice about all of the blessings in life.

Norris High School (NE) standout Logan Dorn isn't one of those kids. Aside from being one of the most coachable kids you will ever meet, he is also a very grateful student athlete, and it's easy to see why.

"My sister has spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and she motivates me to play basketball because she can't walk and I want to take advantage of everything I can do that she can't. She's the reason I take advantage of every opportunity I am given," he recently told Future150.

This season, he is doing his best to make her proud. For his high school team, he is averaging nearly 14 points per game, along with six assists and four rebounds each time out.

He has grown this fall from 6'3" to 6'4" and carries a sturdy frame of 205-pounds which he uses to his advantage when driving to the basket.

However, the place where he thrives on the floor is from the outside, where he is a knockdown shooter, reminiscent of former local Creighton star, and his role model, NBA player Kyle Korver.

Recently, the University of Nebraska Kearney has shown interest in Dorn, but he isn't satisfied, not by a long shot.

"My goal is to win a state championship. I want to win every game we play from here on out. I want to get my averages up to 17 points and eight rebounds. I want to gain a college scholarship for my efforts."

While he may use a year at a prep school next season, he is already looking into his future when it comes to college.

"I want to find a place with good academics. I want to be able to compete for playing time right away, and I want to do something physical therapy related, so I can help people like my sister."

While he hasn't quite made it to college ball player just yet, I'm sure his sister is already awful proud of him.
