Houston, TX (Future150) -- The 13U divison saw a number of players begin to emerge as potentially big time prospects down the line. Point guard TJ Jones hit a clutch shot at the end of the 13U championship game to help push the South Louisiana Select past the Houston Flyers. SG Darien Gibson led the Flyers throughout the weekend and was nearly unstoppable until the championship game.

TJ Jones, 2019 PG, South Louisiana Select: Jones was the spark-plug for his scrappy 13U squad. The savvy point guard understands the game so well from the aspect of getting his team involved. The 5-foot-4 lead guard has outstanding vision and quickness. He was also a difference maker on the defensive end of the floor. He gave opposing point guards some trouble throughout the tournament.

Darien Gibson, 2019 SG, Houston Flyers: Gibson showcased a consistent jumper from the perimeter as well as the ability to slash into the lane and finish at the cup. He has a decent amount of upside and is one Future150 will keep an eye on moving forward.

Ronald Finister, 2019 PF, Houston Phenoms: Finister was quiet for some of the tournament, but this young prospect oozes with potential. The 5-foot-11 forward has a great body and has the athleticism to be a force on the floor. He is great down low, where he is an efficient rebounder and finisher at the rim. He showed some glimpses of hitting perimeter shots, but that will need to continue.

Jamarian George, 2019 PG, Pearland Elite: One of the premier floor generals in the 7th grade division was the muscular 5-foot-3 George. His ball skills and quick burst set him apart from his classmates and he is very good when finishing around the basket. Very good transition prospect as well.

Jaylon Williams, 2019 SF, South Louisiana Select: Williams did about anything his team needed and that is what makes him so valuable. The 5-foot-11 forward was arguably the most well-rounded player in his age group. He has a nice combination of body and skills that allow him to be productive on the floor. Throughout the weekend, Williams rebounded the ball on the defensive end and took it coast-to-coast for a basket. He was best at getting to the basket and finishing at the rim.

Joe Rollins, 2019 PG, Team Stackz: Rollins is a solid point guard who gets to the rim at will. He has decent size and takes care of the ball. He also uses his length well on the defensive end, where he sparked a comeback victory on Friday night.

Brycen Perkins, 2020 SF, Houston Phenoms: Perkins is an athletic wing prospect with ball handling ability that has improved since we last saw him.  He got out in transition early and finished at the rim. He also showed that he has good vision.

Pierre Dupre, 2019 SG, South Louisiana Select: Dupre is a good shooter who can get hot at the right time. He had several three-pointers to pace his team in a high-level semi-final game and help lead them to victory.

Cameron Hopes, 2019 PF, Pearland Elite: Hopes is a big body who showed that he is capable of hitting the mid-range jumper. He used his strength to stop his man from posting him up and was able to grab rebounds as well.

Aaron Davis2019 SF, Houston Cowboys: Davis was a solid rebounder on both ends of the floor this weekend and was an efficient defender as well. He also scored at the rim throughout the tournament.

Nik Ellis,2020 PG, Houston Cowboys: Ellis was instrumental in leading his team on a deep run through the bracket. He set his teammates up for easy baskets and got a piece of the paint on a lot of possessions. He has good speed and vision and will be one to keep an eye on in the years to come.

Saveon Dents is not on the 13U team for South Louisiana Select.  That write up is for Pierre Dupre (2019)
