Scouting Report

• Strengths:
  

  Barnes has already carved out a way to negate his small size with extreme confidence and a fearless mentality on the court.  He owns that lethal combination of blinding open court speed and a tight, quick handle that allows him to create his own shot and beat defenders off the dribble.  Basketball comes easy to him, and he already has a good knowledge of the game, as he knows what to do with the ball.  It makes him a very good playmaker for himself and others 

• Weaknesses:
  

  Barnes should look to continue to polish his outside jumper.  He's very capable in this area, particularly in the midrange area, but it wouldn't hurt to extend that range even deeper.  He should also look to commit himself to playing defense at all times.  Overall, however, he is a very solid prospect and a fun one to watch
