Chicago, IL (Future150) -- The Villanova Wildcats made national news on Wednesday afternoon, when Stevenson (IL) and Mac Irvin Fire 4-star point guard Jalen Brunson gave his commitment to the program.

The #29 prospect in the country according to Future150 rankings, the 6-foot-2 southpaw gives the Wildcats an immediate contributor, and reiterates the strength of guards who continue to filter through the program

He joines Salesianum (DE) and Team Final 6'4" guard Donte DiVincenzo in what will be a backcourt full of firepower in their 2015 class. Also in the Wildcats 2015 class is 6'8" power forward Tim Delaney from Blair Academy (NJ).

He picked Villanova over Illinois, which is another crushing blow for the program, which lost out late on another star local prospect last year in five-star forward Cliff Alexander when he picked Kansas.
