South Bend, IN (Future150) -- For Mike Brey and the Irish, 2013 prospect Demetrius Jackson was considered a must-get for the program. It isn't often that a player with Jackson's qualities grows up just minutes from campus. So, the Irish made Jackson their #1 priority.
After following him all over the AAU circuit and fighting off Kansas and Illinois, coach Brey and the Irish were able to garner a commitment from the talented point guard. Demetrius will have a major impact at Notre Dame right away, as he is the Future150 #11 prospect in his class and the #4 point guard. Jackson joins shooting guard Steve Vasturia and small forward V.J. Beacham as members of the 2013 class.
With three talented players in the fold, and each of them playing on the perimeter, look for Notre Dame to target a couple of big men with their final two scholarships.
