Charlottesville, VA (Future150) -- The NBA Players Top 100 Camp started this morning with players taking part in a team practice followed by the first session of games.  The camp is taking place on the campus of the University of Virginia.  The camp is loaded with Future150 ranked players from the classes of 2013 and 2014.  We love coming to this type of camp setting -- since we really get a chance to see best go against the best.  Let's take a look at who performed well in the first morning session on day one.

Anthony Barber- the 6-foot-1 PG has an elite first step of the dribble and is crafty around the rim when finishing.  He showed great court vision and loves breaking down his defender off the dribble. Most of his assists come from his ability to get into the lane and draw the defense. At times he tends to be the score-first PG, which is what he was this morning.  Barber said in an interview afterwards when asked what schools are high on his list, "I really like Alabama, Kansas, UConn, UVA and Syracuse." He had 16 points, 1 assist and 1 rebound.

John Egbunu- the 7-foot center out of Atlanta, GA was the most impressive big man in the morning session.  He showed a nice motor and attacked the glass on both ends of the floor.  He displayed a nice drop-step game to go along with his power game when scoring around the rim. Egbunu, who is a USF commit, is certainly showing why he deserved to be in the camp.

Dominic Woodson- At 6-foot-9 and 255 pounds, Woodson showed that he can do a lot more than just score in the post.  He shot three-pointers, started the break, and dominated the boards.   Even though he was shooting threes whenever he needed a bucket, he would go down low and receive the ball in a spot on the floor, which made it easy for him to turn and score.  He has a high motor that allowed him to run with his lightning quick point guard Aquille Carr.  Woodson ended the game with 22 points and 8 rebounds.

Aquille Carr- didn’t start off blazing, but showed more than anything that he can be a pass-first type point guard when needed.  He ran the offense very well for his team and set up teammates for easy points all game.  He played very good defense and kept Solomon Poole from having his way. Carr ended the first session with 18 points and 6 rebounds.

Zena Edosomwan- is a 6-foot-8 workhorse with a nice frame that knows his job and does exactly that.  It will be hard to find someone who plays as hard and is as skilled as Edosomwan.  He finished dunks and lay-ups with contact and really brought fire and passion to the game. You can tell he’s out to show that he belongs here.  Harvard is really getting a hard worker in Edosomwan that can really dominate the Ivy League.

Trayvon Reed- showed why he belonged here, altering shots, passing out of the post, and showing his mid range game.  At 6-foot-11 tall, he has a real nice skill set that goes along with what you can’t teach and that’s height and length.  Trayvon was on a team where he didn’t get the ball as much as he would on his AAU team, but he still showed how much he’s grown and gotten better since seeing him last.  This kid is definitely has high major talent.

D'Angelo Russell- the 6-foot-3 inch PG is a pass first player who knows how to get his teammates the ball.  He is a smooth lefty who plays with a good change of pace and can carve up a defense, if the need arises.  He can score in bunches and loves attacking the rim.  Overall, Russell had a solid performance with 13 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds -- of which 2 were offensive.
