Nashville, TN (Future150) -- With the start of AAU season less than a month away, Future150 takes at who we project to be the most impressive AAU teams heading into the spring and summer season.

We based our preseason rankings on key players, key acquisitions during the offseason, and how each team projects to play during the next five months.

Here is our inaugural listing of the top 15 teams nation wide, regardless of affiliation....

1.) Southern Stampede

The Atlanta, Georgia based team begins the circuit with a large target on their back. Coached by Michael Stokes, the Stampede are loaded with talent. They have extreme offensive firepower, headlined by several Future150 ranked prospects.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014: SG Ahmed Hill (#15), SF Jalen Lindsey (#23), PF Jakeenan Gant (#28),CF Elijah Staley (#64).

Key Acquisitions: CG Grayson Allen (#32) - Super athlete who we watched burst onto the scene last summer at Peach State. A high major kid who will be a big time addition to the Stampede. Duke, Indiana, and Kansas are just a sample of schools tracking him.

2.) Team Thad

Always known for having supreme talent, these Memphis prospects, coached by Norton Hurd, love to play chaotic, fast break basketball. Finished last season #2 in the country after falling to Team SCAN in a highly contested battle. This year, don't expect the same result. This team is loaded with high major prospects, including Future150's #1 ranked prospect in 2014, Leron Black.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014: SF Leron Black (#1), CF Marcanvis Hymon (#50), PG Chris Chiozza (#55)

2016 PG Jalen Fisher (#25)

Key Acquisitions: SF Riley Norris (#37) - The most skilled player in the state of Alabama will bring a different dimension to Team Thad. He is a capable scorer from anywhere on the floor, and he can play the 2-4 positions on the floor. Currently has offers from schools such as Kansas State, Alabama, Arkansas, and Stanford.

#3) Team SCAN

When you think of teams from the Northeast, there is one powerhouse team that comes to mind this season, Team Scan.  They are carried by the Syracuse commit Chris McCullough and big man Cheick Diallo. Their epic battle with Team Thad last year in Las Vegas was one for the ages. We expect nothing less this spring and summer.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014: PF Chris McCullough (#9)

 2015Cheick Diallo (#44)

#4) Spiece Indy Heat

Midwest basketball in recent years has been growing more and more consistent nationally. One of the top teams in the country hails from Indianapolis, Spiece Indy Heat. They are led by power forward Trey Lyles, who was once committed to the Indiana Hoosiers. Their power style of play coupled with uptempo guard play makes them extremely fun to watch from the fans perspective.

Future150 Ranked Prospect:

2014: PF Trey Lyles (#6), PG Jaquan Lyle (#18), SG Trevon Blueitt (#60)

#5) Mac Irvin Fire

Chicago basketball has produced some great players over the last several years, most notably Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose. The next big ticket coming out of the Windy City is center Jahlil Okafor. This years Mac Irvin Fire team should be able to make a run at the EYBL title at the Nike Peach Jam in July. You know they will come loaded with other top local prospects.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014: C Jahlil Okafor (#4)

#6.) Oakland Soldiers

The reigning Nike EYBL champions, the Oakland Soldiers will again be in the hunt for a championship run come July. While they lost super seniors Aaron Gordon and Jabari Bird, they return a plethora of top talent including Stanley Johnson. Look for St. Ignatius High School (CA) dribbling machine Trevor Dunbar to make some noise for the Soliders this summer as well.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014:  SG/SF Stanley Johnson (#8), SF Shaqquan Aaron (#22)

#7) Each 1 Teach 1

The central Florida based team returns some high level talent, headlined by recent North Carolina commitment Joel Berry. However, what makes them most dangerous is who else they return. Stud junior D'Angelo Russell of Montverde Academy (Fl) and Westlake (Ga) star Kejuan Johnson will help anchor the backcourt, as well as Kobie Eubanks.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014: SG D'Angelo Russell (#14), PG Joel Berry (#17)

2015: Kejuan Johnson (#9)

#8.) Louisville Magic

The Magic will be led this season by their star homegrown point guard, Quentin Snider, who hails from Ballard High School (Ky). Another key contributer on the team will be another Kentucky standout, Shane Hall, who could be ready for a breakout summer.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014: PG Quentin Snider (#33), SF Shane Hall (#38)

#9.) Texas Select

They say that everything is bigger in Texas, and that seems to be true when talking about point guards in the Lone Star State. After producing Andrew Harrison this year, Texas Select will have 6'4" Emmanuel Mudiay running the show this AAU season. They will also have super scorer Jeremiah Jefferson of Triple A Academy (Tx) in the backcourt. Talk about an explosive scoring duo!

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014: PG Emmanuel Mudiay (#3), CG Jeremiah Jefferson (#100)

#10.) Team Loaded

Team Loaded always fields a loaded roster, and this year should be no different. Their two biggest stars are North Carolina State commitments Caleb and Cody Martin, both Future150 top 50 prospects in the 2014 class. The Virginia based program begins the season as a program to keep an eye on.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014: SF Caleb Martin (#39), SF Cody Martin (#41), SG B.J. Stith

#11.) Dream Vision

The Las Vegas based program has had its fair share of success over the past few years, especially with current UCLA star Shabazz Muhammad starring for the hometown team. This year, another Bishop Gorman High School star will be headlining Dream Vision's 17U team. Stephen Zimmerman, a 6'11" big man, is coming off a huge sopohomore season and is ready to go to work this summer.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2015: PF/C Stephen Zimmerman (#8)

#12.) Compton Magic

Take one look at the Compton Magic's list of alumni, and you realize that they don't rebuild, they reload. Isaiah Austin, Gabe York, and Jahii Carson are just a few of the stars who have come through the program. Next in line are frontcourt players Idrissa Diallo and Isaiah Bailey.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014: PF Idrissa Diallo (#87), SF Isaiah Bailey (#107)

#13.) Milwaukee Rebels

The Runnin' Rebels begin AAU season just outside the top 10 in the Future150 team rankings, but they could rise quickly based on the performance of their best prospect, Kevon Looney. Future150's #7 prospect in the country destroyed the competition on the circuit last year, and if he continues to do so again this year, the Rebels could be in for a big summer.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014: Kevon Looney (#7)

#14.) Sports U

The New Jersey based program will be led by Kentucky commitment Karl Towns. The 2014 forward will be hard to guard for any team. He's a 6'10" combo forward who is comfortable playing small forward, power forward, or center for his team. It will be interesting to see what guards they pair with the talented big.

Future150 Ranked Prospects:

2014: PF Karl Towns (#10)

#15.)Mass Rivals

The Mass Rivals team was headlined by Noah Vonleh last year and decided to reclass up leaving some bright stars on the roster.  This team is solid all the way around and extremely fundamental.  They are very versatile and can play any style.  Their inside play will determine if they can climb the rankings.

Future150 Prospects

2014: PF Goodluck Okonoboh (#42), PG Kaleb Joseph (#83)
